This sweet mama came in for a mommy and me session with the sweetest little bump. She hadn’t yet even thought of newborn photos but once we say how big brother was hugging and kissing her tummy - we both knew that a newborn session would be in the works. And I am SO happy she brought all her fellas in just a month or so later because big bro did NOT dissapoint!
Look how in love they all are!
I'm kind of wishing it wasn't almost fall here in Central Ohio...
...now don't get me wrong. I love ALL things fall. ALL OF THEM.
But this outdoor cake smash session is giving me all the feels. It makes me want to hold onto the warm golden summer evenings just a little longer so I can capture more of these amazing outdoor birthday celebrations.
It's the intoxicating mix of nervousness and excitement that make maternity sessions so emotional and amazing.
Everyone is anticipating the arrival of the newest family member.
Hair? No hair?
Will they look like mommy or daddy? Or Grandpa maybe? ;)
Will they come a little early? A little late? Middle of the night?
All of these unanswered questions create a magic in the photos that set a maternity session apart from all others.
These are memories you're going to want to hold onto.
It's the last pictures of your baby as "THE BABY" and not big sis (or big bro).
They way your husband cradles your belly with his hands when he holds you.
The way your little one fits perfectly onto your bump.... as if it was designed just for them.
Enjoy the ride mamas.....because its bumpy and messy and beautiful all at the same time.
After many storms...comes the rainbow. This little guy was hoped and wished for and I'm so honored to be able to capture these memories for this family.
They've waited so long to hold their sweet boy in their arms.
This guy. He wanted NOTHING to do with pics. He wanted snuggles. More specifically, he wanted snuggles from daddy. He wanted daddy to hold him and play with him and he wanted NO CAMERAS in the area while he got his snuggle on. So, we made the best of it! If there is one thing I've learned as a mom and now as a child photographer it's that you DO NOT pick fights with two year olds. You just don't do it. You'd have better luck wrestling a herd of cats into a cardboard box! LOL! In all seriousness, we did what we do at every session. Went at the little ones pace. Let him do his thing. And caught some amazing memories along the way.
I included a cute outtake, hope mama and daddy don't mind. It was too adorable not too!
One of my favorite things about my business is that I get to watch all these tiny humans grow. Seriously, JRP is like one big happy family and every time a client comes in for one of their baby plan sessions, it's like a family member walking in that I haven't seen in a while. I love seeing how baby's legs are now hanging off of the carseat, when they were just a tiny little bobblehead the first time I saw them! lol! Mom and dad have eased into their roles and since we've already spent time together at the newborn session, it's more like friends getting together for coffee and playdate versus a stuffy, rushed photo session. It's so much fun.
I remember Grayson's full head of hair from his newborn session and little man did NOT disappoint when he came in for his six month photo session. I might have to get him one of those shirts from Etsy that says #crazyhairdontcare ! He rocks it too! He's so adorable, I asked his momma not to cut it ( like NEVER EVER!) but I guess we'll have to see what his 12month session brings! Stay tuned!

They're back!
GLITTER MINI SESSIONS will be held at Jillian Renee Photography on Saturday, March 4th 2017.
Now, I've included some photos below from past sessions, BUT this years sessions will be a tad different. The background will be a lighter color and not the dark grey. This will change it up a bit for my returning clients and will also allow me to add a few new dresses/accessories I recently purchased. Dresses will be provided for everyone! You are more than welcome to wear your own outfit - the fancier the better! Go for sparkly or simple....just keep the colors very light and airy. Keep in mind, these are for girls ages 2 and older only
( no worries, I have some CRAZY adorable minis coming up for the little ones as well!)
I hope to see EVERYONE at these sessions. They always turn out so amazing!
FYI: Each session includes digital images with print release and additional add-ons will be available at the session for purchase as well!
