Outdoor Cake Smash & Family Photo Session / Jillian Renee Photography

Jillian Rollins

I'm kind of wishing it wasn't almost fall here in Central Ohio...

...now don't get me wrong.  I love ALL things fall.  ALL OF THEM.
But this outdoor cake smash session is giving me all the feels. It makes me want to hold onto the warm golden summer evenings just a little longer so I can capture more of these amazing outdoor birthday celebrations.

Welcome to the world baby "P" / Columbus Ohio Newborn Photography

The moment this mama walked in for her Maternity Session, I knew it was going to be good.  The lovely ladies from The Beauty and the Blondes Salon in Canal Winchester (right down the street from my studio) ROCKED her hair and makeup and had her looking amazing.
Fast forward 4 weeks to the day her little girl FINALLY decided to make her debut!
A week past her due date, this little  peanut didn't want to leave her cozy little 9 month home!

Welcome to the world Baby P - you are so loved......

Meet Baby "P" / Columbus Ohio Newborn Photographer

Jillian Rollins

This little guy and his family traveled all the way from out of state for this session.
When that happens, you absolutely feel like it's "now or never" as you can't exactly just have them come back if baby decides to party like a rockstar instead of sleep.
LOL
Luckily for me, baby P did not disappoint.  His whole family was so sweet and his big sister was totally model material.
She was SO GOOD with him guys!  SO GOOD!
I'm so honored they chose JRP.  I hope mama loves them as much as I do.

Enjoy....

My favorite age...the six month session / Columbus Ohio Baby Photographer

Jillian Rollins

I say "my favorite age", but who am I kidding?!?
I love all dem' babies!
Newborns, Six Months, One Year olds....then skip ages 2 and 3 and head right for four.  LOL!
Can I get an amen?
(All those mamas out there know just what I'm talking about)
They go from sweet as pie to little rot-pots around 2 & 3.
...and the man above, being the genius that he is, makes them so chubby and delicious and adorable that we don't even mind when they do go through their rotten stages!

Seriously though, month six is so great.
They are full of smiles and love to play but still love snuggles.
AND THEY STILL NAP TWO TIMES A DAY!  (again, amen from all the mamas out there!)

Here's a little PRECIOUS PLAN member, half way through her first year with JRP.
I may be obsessed.  She seriously is beyond sweet.
To top it off her mom and grandmother are amazingly sweet.
She couldn't ask for better women to look up too.
Happy Half Birthday Dollbaby!

...and a little flashback to six short months ago.....

Introducing Baby "T" / Columbus Ohio Newborn Photographer

Newborn Twin Boys / Columbus Ohio Newborn Photography

Being a mommy of twins myself, I'm always so excited to have twin in the studio.  It's so crazy to think back to that chaotic time when your hands are full, the house is a mess (let's be real, mine is still a mess!), and you're just trying to keep your head above water.  I honestly have no idea how mamas of newborn twins do it!  And that is coming from a mamma of twins!
I can hardly remember balancing a baby on each hip, pushing two shopping carts around the grocery store, or navigating the crowded aisles of a mall with a double stroller.
I say that to give all of you mamas who are out there living it hour by hour hope.  For real, you just get through it and then one day look back and you're on the other side of it.
Babies are such a blessing.  Oh my goodness.  There is NOTHING better in the entire world that to meet your little one(s) for the first time, but babies are WORK!
We all know it's true!
So hats off to all the mamas out there with their hands full and their hearts even fuller.....

xoxo, Jillian

Momma and I bonded right away.  Sitting in my tiny loft turned newborn studio on the second floor of my home.  She had twins...I had twins.  We both understood the chaos and delicate balancing act of caring for two newborns at the same time.  I recognized the bags under her eyes and remembered all too well the days I longed for more than two hours of sleep at a time.  Fast forward to  my next photo studio.  A small pink building nestled in downtown Canal Winchester.  Two toddlers and now a third baby boy.  Glowing but also overwhelmed, this mama gracefully cared for her three boys.  It was great to reconnect.  Now we both had three boys and shared "war" stories of being a mom to all boys.  Another couple of years, she enters my much larger studio and it's a good thing I decided to "upgrade".  In walk two little men.  Dressed to kill.  Then comes another one.  Dressed just like the other two and finally in walks dad carrying a new baby. A fourth boy.  And their family is complete.  It's so great to see the smiles on their faces.  These five guys are so lucky.  This mama bear is so strong and loving.  I'm honored to be a part of their story......
